It’s a testament to our great team, price and attention to quality. But through one tough experience we learned something very important: Client-Contractor interview is a two-way street.
As much as you want to find out about us, we want to get to know you. And if we find that you and we are not seeing eye-to-eye on the goal (that is for YOU to enjoy the home we build or remodel), we should not be engaged in the project. After all, building you your dream custom home or remodel is much more than a builder/homeowner relationship. It takes a trusted partnership with honesty and openness to communicate (much like a marriage!). Sockeye Homes has recently completed an addition to my home. Specifically, a room addition complete with bathroom. The finished product is absolutely grand.The workmanship is excellent. Customer service is beyond belief, and the workers are very conscientious, honest and trustworthy.
Tod Sakai, owner, explained everything that was done, and always consulted with me on any changes necessary. He and his wife Kristin were so patient with me, and all my concerns and questions were answered promptly. I would and will recommend this compa ny, without any reservations. I had a wonderful experience working with Sockeye Homes. They addressed all of our concerns and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. They are efficient and anxious to please. The foreman was way to find and responded to questions and concerns without hesitation. He took time to explain things that I did not understand.
One worker walked through my house looking for errors and stated “I look at your house as I would look at my own house. I want things to be as nice for you as they are for me.”

It has been such a blessing to work with Tod and Kristin.
When we first talked about buying a new home and have it built for us, one of the first responses that I got was, “Oh my, that is a very stressful process.”
I can say that our experience with Tod and Kristin has been everything but stressful. We absolutely fell in love with the Model home when we first saw it, and Tod and Kristin have went above and beyond to make sure we are going to be very comfortable and happy in our new home. They have gone out of their way to make sure things would work out for us and have blessed us on numerous occasions with their great generosity.
My husband is terminally ill and they have made sure his transition to the new home would be as comfortable as possible by putting in a special shower that would fit his needs. They also considered the needs of my children and their ages and put a special deep tub in their bathroom.
The ease of working with Tod and Kristin and the lengths they have been willing to go to for us has been tremendous and has made this experience one that will be treasured for all the years to come that we will be in our new home.
